Concentrates
Extracted cannabis at its most potent: live rosin, live resin, cured resin, shatter, distillate, and RSO, each named for how it was made.
The names on the concentrate shelf describe the process, and the process decides the experience. Live rosin is solventless: ice water, heat, and pressure on fresh-frozen flower, the most flavor-faithful (and most labor-intensive) extract made. Live resin gets a similar fresh-frozen start but uses hydrocarbon extraction. Cured resin, shatter, and distillate trade terpene fidelity for potency and price in their own ways.
An Illinois concentrate made with solvents names its extraction method and every solvent or gas used on its label. Residents may buy up to 5 grams of concentrate at a time, and visitors 2.5 grams.
