Flower
Cured, trimmed cannabis bud sold by weight, labeled with its strain and a lab-measured THC percentage. The classic way to shop the plant itself.
Reading a flower label is simple once you know the parts: the strain is the genetic line, the category (indica, hybrid, sativa) is a starting point for character, and the THC percentage tells you potency, not quality. The terpene profile on the lab panel tells you more about how it will smell and feel than the THC number does.
Illinois labels give potency as a range rather than a single number: a minimum and a maximum percentage by weight for THC, THCA, CBD and CBDA. Residents may buy up to 30 grams of flower at a time, and visitors 15.
